A Lotto Winner Real Story

I've met a Lotto millionaire in the clinic where I've worked a few years back.

Met??? Yup. I met him before he became a lottery winner. He was our patient at the Physiotherapy clinic. He and his daughter. They were MVA ( motor vehicle accident) patients. That's where the real story starts.

The man and his family met an accident and both he and his daughter had the worst injuries. They went for therapy for about a year. He was a nice man. I've never heard him complain. I never found out that he lost his job because of the accident. The man wasn't able to go to work and he was laid off by the bank whom he worked for. And he lost his house after that. I 've only learned about it in the paper when they featured him as a Lotto winner. I never have guessed that the man is in deep trouble. He 's always seems to be optimistic. He always tells me with a smile, " I'll be alright soon Claren, right". And I always tell him of course.

A few months after he stopped going to the clinic, a co worker told me about his few million dollars winnings. I was shocked. I know the guy. He' s our patient. My co worker showed me the paper that day and there I saw his usual smiling face on the front page. The man won 8 million Canadian dollars.

I felt like I also won that day. I knew the man. I know he's a good man and I hope he'll stay as positive and happy with his new fortune as he was when he almost lost everything.

The real lesson of the story is: There's always a light at the end of the tunnel. Keep going. Keep believing. God is in control.
